    It sounds like you need more investing education. You should have an asset allocation plan. Then you should look for the best funds in each asset class. How much large cap growth, large cap value, small cap growth, etc.

    When researching funds do not look only at returns, but look for risk adjusted returns. Be careful of funds with high beta and negative alpha numbers.

    You could save a lot of work by buying into an asset allocation fund.

    Buy into Morningstar on the internet.
    They also have a two week trial period.
    They have a star rating system based
    on performance. There are many types
    of mutual funds, and you will have to decide
    how much risk that you are willing to take on.

    I like yahoo finance page under investing tools, choose mutual funds. They also cover bonds, ETF’s stocks etc.
