The answer to this question is actually very simple when you factor in selecting the highest gaining stock. They would buy out-of-the-money call option contracts on that stock. Counting the leverage of options, their profit would more than compensate for the commissions. There would be unlimited income potential since this person already knew which stock is the best from time travel.

The could make huge sums of money. But the key it they have to have the magical power to always pick highest gaining stocks. I have not yet met any person with this power.

There really isn’t a definitive way to answer this, as stocks don’t have a fixed interest rate.
