Check out Jim Cramer’s books. Also look for publications by Charles Schwab and Peter Lynch. I just read a book, The Informed Investor, by Frank Armstrong, it was good as well.

Most books are written by people who made their millions, selling books.

If you’re looking for a book written by academia look into "A random walk through wall street". It’s not going to give you any get rich quick schemes, or "hot" stock tips, but it will give you a crash course in basic financial education and theory.
