The difference is how they look and the way they are set up . Rock Band 2 Drums have a metal pedal and has the bar like the first one so it doesn't slide around.

We have a Playstation 2 and I wanted to get Rock Band for my kids, but I am having difficulty getting one for the PS2 system and I don’t want to invest in a PS3 right now. I see a lot of Band Hero sets for PS2- what’s the difference? Are they the same set up, but just with different songs? Will Rock Band software work with Band Hero? Help!

I think rock band is more of rock songs while band hero is like taylor swift and that sorta shizz. In my opinion I’d say rock band.
