What is the best investment for me ?

I understand that the banking system and most all of the "mutual funds" as well as most commodities will come to a grinding halt VERY SOON. Should I take all of my money out of the bank ? What would be good to invest in with my money ?

I have no answer for you, JS, but offer that you must be VERY CAREFUL in your financial dealings. In times like these there are unscrupulous vultures who feed off of the fear of others.
Trust in yourself. The very best investment is always in yourself, my friend.

I have been looking into investing myself.
I hear silver and gold are good mediums to invest in.
Take a close look at MSN.com.
Click on the money section. They seem to have alot of great advice and stock picks there. GE may be a good one to invest in. Warren Buffett just sunk $3 hundred million into it. Just a thought.
Good luck to you in the future. God be with us!
Maybe watch some Alex Jones videos on Youtube.com?

Ignore the robot-trader ad… bunch of fools and scam artists…
To your question, it depends on the amount you are looking to invest…
First: Roth IRA – Start your retirement early, you can do EVERYTHING you want to do in the market but under an IRA shelter for your retirement.
Under $10000? I would suggest throwing into a mutual fund with 4 or 5 stars.
If you are dead set on individual stocks, I think AIG is currently a bargain, but only for the long haul… 10+ years.
Make sure you are doing ‘reinvest dividends’ on your accounts.
