I am thinking of the sort of site that gives you a certain amount of fantasy to invest, then tracks your investment day-to-day with the real figures. A site many people use would be good, run by a trustworthy company or person. The less info I have to give them when I register, the better – I hate spam and having to give my personal info to everyone on the web.

    Check this site out:

    http://vse.marketwatch.com/Game/Homepage.aspx

I’ve used it to test several stocks and it does track the real stock market figures. I’m like you I dislike spam and I’d rather have these tools for free. Try it out!

Most online brokerages have one, but if you haven’t decided which one to go with there are alot of them out there. My two favorites are:

Virtual Stock Exchange associated with MarketWatch has a very good system…there are public games you can join (or create your own private game) and get advice from other players. — http://vse.marketwatch.com/Game/Homepage.aspx

Investopedia Simulator associated with Forbes has a great system. This is probably my favorite simulator because there are alot of tutorials on the site and you can see the trades the other players made and usually people leave comments as to why they made those selections. Very active community.
