There is not a minimum to trade but most firms required at least $500 to open an account.

Not in my opinion. You are best off using that money to invest in trading education which will enable you to better use your money in the future. $500 to invest is too small when you take into account brokerage and small fee’s plus your time and effort.
Become educated and you will have the skills to invest for a lifetime. With those skills you might be able to get money off other people to start your investment career. Warren Buffett did that and look where he is now!

In my opinion Scottrade.com is the best co. out there to invest trough ,and the minimum is $500.00 it will cost you $7.00 to buy stock and $7.00 to sell a stock .That is it period. No other fees what so ever .they have offices all over the country check for their addresses and call to speak with their representatives.
