investing in stocks online?
I am fairly young 22 and want to start investing in stocks etc. I am just a little confused as to how it all works online. If i sign up with etrade, vanguard, daytrader or something like that How does it all work. Is there a minimum investment? Does the money you use come right out of you bank account? does it go back in immediately if you want to get rid of the stock? someone please school me on all this

Is there a minimum investment?
Most online brokerage has a minimum deposit of 1000
Does the money you use come right out of you bank account?
Most online brokerages give you the ability to transfer money from bank accounts
does it go back in immediately if you want to get rid of the stock?
Don’t know what you mean.
Someone please school me on all this
Most online brokerages include tutorials on there website.

You open a brokerage account and then you can send a check (or wire transfer) to deposit money into it. Check each site (e-trade, etc) to see what their commissions are. You will get charged a commission every time you make a trade. When you buy stocks, you pay out of the brokerage account. When you sell a stock, the money goes into the brokerage account. It may take a few days for funds to "clear" to be available for use or withdrawal. There should not be a minimum amount for you to have in the brokerage account, but you should check with whichever company you decide to use. There MAY be a minimum amount when you purchase securities (stocks, etc). But also, it would not make sense for you to buy 1 share of a $5.00 stock and then get charged $9.99 for the commission.

you put some money in a brokerage account, td ameritrade, etrade.
Then you use that money to buy shares. You can buy with what you have in there, you can borrow from the account but you don’t want to go there yet.
if your worried about trading small stocks or penny stocks to mess around with little money first.
