I have a low capital that could be used for investing. It is of about 500 dollars. I am 17 and need to save up for college and will be getting about 200 dollars per week from now on so I want to use this
money and try it in the
stock market.. I have always been interested and have considered
wall street at a future career.
For now thought I want to start out small How do I learn what to do and how to do it? What books do you recommend? What company that is through the internet and won’t create any problems in the future?
I really am interested in the market and wish to learn more. I want to start out small and see where things go.
ANY advice will be helpful.

you start out free — at your public library.
look up ’stock market’ in the catalog and then go to the stacks — browse the books. pick some up and read a few paragraphs. any one you think you’re learning from is the right place to start.
do this at least three times — reading the whole book each time. Use the Internet to look up any words or processes you don’t understand.
AFTER you’ve done that you’ll have a fair idea of what you actually like and thus where to go from there.

hint: ETFs are thrifty on the commission dollar and there are now hundreds of them.
If you don’t yet know what an ETF is — look it up.

open a online account.i prefer scottrade..because they have alot of walk in branches.most want 500.00 to open….start small couple hundred bucks..big names..don’t sell if it falls..hold on ..you only lose when you sell…look for stocks that pay a dividend

you only have a year before college you would be better off letting it ride in an online savings bank rather than playing the market. This market is too flakey for a one year speculation play like you want to do.
