can someone explain me the whole proccess of buying and I know about sites like

UPDOWN- where you invest without using real
ZECCO- where you have to pay and start to invest for real

but I would like to know what else it’s in there. Your experiences on investing, and what do I need to know (STEPS THAT YOU TOOK TO )

Basically the question is HOW DID YOU START TO INVEST AND WERE YOU SUCCESSFUL AT DOING IT?

Using online brokers was a disaster at first. Emotion is too strong.
I would go with a mutual fund company. And buy no load mutual funds. Leave the investment decisions to a pro.
If you are determined to use an online broker I recommend Scott Trade.
I use Interactive Brokers but I do not recommend them for a rookie.
If you have decided to invest your money into an account with an online broker, this article will help you in evaluating one.

Decide how you are going to use this account. Determine how much you are going to invest. Do you want to trade options, stocks or futures? Is service important to you? If you wish only to buy mutual funds perhaps you will be better served by going to a mutual fund company.

Do you feel more secure if the company also has an office near your home?

Where you have accounts now? Perhaps your 401K is with a large company such as Fidelity. Often they will offer you a better deal since you are an existing customer.

You can go to E-trade or Ameritrade and open an account by giving personal and financial info.
There is backup support directly from the broker if you have any problem but basically you’re on your own when buying stocks. I opened an E-trade account only to buy Google when it went public in 2004. I clicked on the IPO tab and answered questions but the company declined my purchase of stock. They really wanted big investors even though it was a Dutch auction. E-trade did not decline me but google did.
